The Wedding Day Run Sheet: Hour by Hour
wedding planning Zimbabwe, wedding coordinator Harare
Most wedding stress comes from one thing: nobody owns the clock. Here is a sample run sheet that shows how a well-coordinated day is built.
| Time | What happens |
|---|---|
| Morning | Setup crew arrives, tent and layout built, décor installed |
| Midday | Sound check, lighting test, catering arrives, seating checked |
| Early afternoon | Couple's portraits, bridal party preparation |
| Ceremony | Guests seated, programme starts on time |
| Reception | Entrance, speeches, meal service, cake, dancing |
| Evening | Packing begins quietly once guests thin out, equipment cleared next morning |
Rules that keep it on schedule:
- Build the programme backwards from the ceremony start, not forwards from the morning.
- Add buffers. Fifteen minutes between key moments absorbs most delays.
- Give the MC a written programme and the authority to move things along.
- Appoint one coordinator so the family isn't answering supplier calls during the vows.
ChloAce coordinates the day, handles décor and equipment, and works with Lexorium so photo, video and sound follow the same run sheet.
