1. Booking too late. Peak dates go first, and last-minute options are limited.
2. Guessing the size. A tent that's too small cramps guests, and one that's too big wastes money.
3. Ignoring the ground. Slopes, rocks, tree roots and soft soil change what can be installed.
4. Forgetting power. Lighting and sound need supply, and generators need fuel and space.
5. Skipping the site visit. Photos don't show access routes, gates or overhead obstacles.
6. Not agreeing the setup time. Late installation pushes everything back.
7. Hiring on price alone. The cheapest quote often leaves out delivery, setup or collection.

The fix: give your supplier the guest count, venue, programme and date. Then ask for a written quote that lists every item and service.
