Planning a Marooro That Runs on Time

marooro planning, roora event planning Zimbabwe

A marooro involves two families, many relatives and a programme that has to respect tradition. Delays usually come from poor coordination, not bad intentions.

What keeps the day on schedule:

  • A written programme. Share it with both families a week before.
  • One coordinator. Someone with authority to move things along.
  • Seating plan. Guests should know where to go on arrival.
  • Early setup. Tent, chairs and sound should be ready two hours before the first guest.
  • Food timing. Plan service around the programme, not after it.
  • A rain plan. Tent and covered walkways are not optional in the rainy season.

Having one team coordinate all three means your family spends the day with guests instead of chasing suppliers.
